It’s Friday night and I’m sitting on the floor next to my 9 month old border collie whose sprawled out fast asleep next to me and suddenly remembered I haven’t written a blog in a very long time. Now don’t worry I’m not going to go through a week by week backlog of what has been going on because firstly, I can’t remember that far back and secondly Affixxius has been a mad house in terms of activity.

We have been filming our absolute socks off all over the UK from Newcastle, to Manchester, to Essex, to Germany, this list goes on. The vast amount of filming we have been doing hasn’t just been for one client either, we are starting to build up some very high profile clients at the moment such as Leicester Tigers, Schneider Electric and The Royal London Society for the Blind, to name but a few. Also, as Harry mentioned in his previous blog we have also just had to translate one of our videos into 13 european languages, beating our previous record of 6!

We have also just released our new Education packs, which contain a lot more examples of our work in the Education sector and case study sheets that explain further details about the various projects on the DVD. I would encourage anyone who reads this and knows anybody within the Education sector responsible for publishing a school to call us up and ask for one of these, as they do look very sexy and going like hot cakes!!

Shameless plug over for more Eduction video work, I would like to also point people over to a video that took us a month to make and was shot for of The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. The brief for the video was to show people in a documentary style how successful the Apprentischip scheme for young carers in the Borough has been. Corporate Video has Changed

Hello all from the Sales and Marketing desk here at Affixxius Productions, the UK’s leading provider of bespoke video production services. Thins are MANIC at the moment, with crews spread all over the UK and beyond I thought I should mention what we have been up to! In the middle of one of the busiest months we have ever had as a business Miles is away overseas, as are a four man crew mooching around Western Europe with Sony HD kit for a major education and corporate clients of ours.

This week has seen interesting developments in the world of corporate video production, a recruitment company client who is using our video testimonial package to upload a new VT every month, and by doing so saving a fortune is seeing a great increase in business. Lots of talks with new clients this month about how we can help them grow, and attract better staff and customers using quality web video.

We really are passionate about producing quality video work, and now the ‘dark times’ appear to be over, we will keep doing so, all over the world!

Corporate Video Has Changed- www.affixxius.com- The home of video production!

I figured days in the office at the moment are proving to be a bit of a luxury. After the chaos of the shooting schedule in June, I’m hurriedly trying to catch up on all the mountains of paperwork and marketing activity that I didn’t do last month. One of the projects that I have talked about a lot in my blogs is Aiglon College. We have now officially finished their filming and moving into the post-production realm of the project, which is Dave’s department….thank god. As a little taster, we have a sneak preview of what’s to come uploaded to the Aiglon website. If you go over to www.aiglon.ch and watch the video on the homepage, you will see some of the shots we have taken, with a nice corporate message all rolled into a nice web banner, and thats just the beginning.

As I write this blog, we are currently balancing 12 projects all at various stages, with probably more to appear before the end of the month. Things in the corporate video world are going great guns at this end, and we’re trying to keep this momentum through till the end of the year. Holidays and time off have been thrown out the window and its work work work….well for most of us! The two new school promotional videos have appeared on the education site now, so please do pop over to their and have a look (the link is in my previous blog). 

With it being a Friday afternoon and my brain still trying to get use to being up early for my networking commitments with BNI I’m going to sign off and wish everybody a great weekend.

Corporate Video has Changed

It’s been a long old time since any of us have blogged and I can assure you, it’s not because we have nothing to talk about but because it appears there not enough hours in the day anymore. With the sheer amount of stuff going on at our place at the moment, Miles and I are looking into adding an entire extra day to the working week (although I can’t see this being appreciated by many others in this world). 

Anyway, I bet your wondering why I have called this post ‘Googletastic’? Well if you hadn’t noticed, we changed our website about 2 months ago, to turn it more into a resource on corporate video and also improve our google ranking and guess what……..we have gone from page 15 to the top of page 2 for corporate video and hoping to break page 1 soon. So watch this space! Also on the website front, we are launching our new Affixxius Education website in the next 2 weeks, so pop over there (www.affixxius.com/education) and view some of our new education videos and valuable video resources.

Besides all that web activity, we have been franticly filming new projects left, right and centre. We’ve filmed the new Ginetta Zytek super-car flying round Snetterton Race Track and the new RNIB video about the adult learning services they offer. We also started filming Burleigh Colleges new promotional video, had some further work with Morrison Media Consultants down in London and we are just about to spend 2 days up in the Lake District in Keswick, filming the new promotional video for the Camping and Caravanning Club. Then mix this with all the other projects we have going on at the moment, all the various meetings and a number of Tender proposals we’ve been working on and it doesn’t leave much time for anything else, such as blogs for example.

Needless to say, there is probably going to be another gap until my next blog looking at the diary for the next 2 months, so yet again I will try and twist someone elses arm at the office to keep you in the loop and write all you wonderful readers a blog. Have a great Bank Holiday!

Its April! How time flies when your having fun!

In the video production world its far too easy, as with any job, to do just ‘enough’ for the final piece to do its job. There are so many companies out there- in the endless mass of people who claim to be ’specialists’ or ‘production experts’ who say they do the complete package-PUT THEM TO THE TEST!

Corporate Video has Changed

Its been well over a week since we’ve been back and our feet haven’t hit the floor yet! We have tons of work on at the moment and plenty in the pipeline, so we have our heads down and we’re cracking on; hence, the reason for it taking me so long to post some pictures from our filming trip in Switzerland. Whilst we were out there, we filmed a winter expedition and and lots of snow based activities, along with a few very tidy interviews. There is still a long way to go with this project at the moment, however, I think the pictures do all the talking about the fun we had out there and the type of footage we got.

The one thing these pictures don’t show is how tiring it was (or the fact Dave and Miles got left up a mountain at 9 o’clock at night), but one thing that did make it easier, was looking around and been blown away by the views. I would like to thank all at Aiglon College for making us feel welcome and we look forward to the next 2 filming blocks and producing a master piece of a video for the school.

I have plenty more to blog about, but will save that for a rainy day.
